Shelby Garlock was born and raised a Kansas Jayhawk, graduating from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. She began her career in marketing as the Marketing and Communication Specialist for Chemidex LLC, an online search engine for chemists and formulators. While at Chemidex, Shelby honed her interactive marketing skills, taking special interest in Search Engine Optimization.

Since the start of her online marketing career, Shelby has helped numerous companies boost their search engine rankings while focusing on website usability and a positive network visibility. She and her husband started Active Management Resource Group to help companies with custom software development, business intelligence and brand management.


Shelby believes social networking is a much over-looked extension of a company’s marketing efforts and customer support. She helped co-found The Social Lites to be a part of the revolution in word-of-mouth marketing.
